Our farm and orchard are located on the north side of the historical land – Kujawy. For more than 70 years Klimkiewicz Farm and Orchard have been specialising in the production of delicious, rich and healthy fruit. Apple production uses the biological methods approved by the official polish production system called Integrated Fruit Production and proceeds in accordance with its strict rules. It means that fruits produced by us don’t contain any harmful substances and are controlled by the designated national organisations which is proven by many certificates.
As a part of improving the quality of our fruit, we have introduced a special system of food health safety management called Global G. A. P., which covers every step of fruit production starting from fruit cultivation, up to delivering ready products to the clients. Thanks to our multi-year experience, respect for tradition, modern ways of production and proper storage, we can deliver the best quality fruit all year long.
The farm is equipped with modern walk-in freezers with a controlled atmosphere. During the storage time, continued monitoring takes place – the following factors are monitored: temperature, air relative humidity, oxygen, carbon dioxide and ethylene levels. We also use the Smart Fresh Quality System which extends food products’ shelf life without changing consumption fruit traits.
The area of the orchard equals 200 hectares. Annually we produce up to 10 tonnes of fruit. We offer the following types of apples: Piros, Delicates, Lobo, Cortland, Elstar, Champion, Boskop, Gloster, Idared, Rubin, Jonagolds: Jonagored, Jonica, and Decosta. Types of pears in our offer: Conference, Lukasowka, Komisowka, Williams, Clapp’s Favourite. Among the different types of plums, we grow Bluefre, Empress, Valor, Amers, and President. We also offer a special kind of apple called “painted by the sun”. To obtain that unique effect, differently shaped stickers are glued onto the fruit skin at the turn of June and July, when fruits, at the beginning of their growth, are still pale. Fruits then grow in the sunlight but they don’t “sunbathe” in the particular spots covered from sun rays by the sticker. Due to more and more often coexisting weather disturbances our company, as one of the few farm and orchard industries, has bought a hail cannon.

The finest quality of our fruit is proved by numerous prizes and distinctions awarded to our firm. In 2003 we were titled the Farmer of Kuyavia and Pomerania in the fruit-growing category. In 2008 we became prizewinners of the Role Model Gardener competition in the fruit growing category. In 2011 we were honoured in the Farmer of the Year competition. In 2012 we managed to win the first prize in a pear production contest. We also act in aid of local villages by taking part in various social initiatives and events. We support the development of the local football club WKS Olimpia Wtelno.
